Challenge Yourself & Your Selling Style

Published on 3 March 2025 at 15:20

If you've been in the industry for any length of time, chances are you know that from time to time, you have to use different approaches to make your money.

For many, that seems like a very daunting task, and for good reason! Switching up your hustle style isn't easy, but sometimes it's necessary.

Let's discuss some ways you can challenge yourself in those moments when your typical hustle just isn't doing it for you!

We all know there are many diverse selling styles in every industry and the club is no different. Maybe you're a fast seller and you excel at turning and burning through customers. Perhaps you enjoy building a network of regulars that you plan to see throughout your work week. Whatever the case may be, sometimes we have to switch up at a moment's notice in order to keep the cash flowing. I'm going to address various hustle styles, and how you can challenge yourself to step outside of your comfort zone whenever you need or want to!

Hustle Style: Fast Seller

Issue: A club full of customers who want to chat & connect before buying

Challenge: Approach and engage in actual conversations with at least 3-5 customers! Ask to sit down and chat with them, introduce yourself and find a way to make the conversation interesting right off the bat. Sometimes, I like to use the approach of asking them to tell me something they've learned/tried/been interested in recently and let them tell me whatever it is - this gives you the opportunity to not only listen attentively and learn about your customer for future reference, but also to stroke their ego and let them feel special for teaching you something or talking about their newest special interest. Picking a particular piece from this conversation can be a great way to introduce a VIP or dance without sounding too pushy but also keeping your agenda in check and doing what you came to do. I like to read my customer and choose how to pitch it by their vibe. Is the customer obviously into you? Flirty and handsy? If so, use a sexy line, "you know what I'd really love? If we could talk more about your *insert topic here* with my tits in your face, occasionally interrupting you!" Perhaps the customer is a bit more reserved, and a bluntly flirty approach would be off-putting, "you know, the VIP is much quieter, and I don't want to miss out on what you're telling me about *insert topic here*, what do you say we head up there and you can continue teaching me!" Even the seemingly simplest of connections if often enough to begin forming a bond that will encourage your customer to spend more time with you! Remember to be an active listener, ask questions, and make them feel heard, seen and valued!

Hustle Style: Slow Seller

Issue: A busy night shift, where customers are quickly pouring in and out of dances with various different girls

Challenge: Try approaching at least 5-8 customers per hour. That might sound like a lot, but if the night is really flowing quickly, it can easily be done! As a slow seller, it can also be useful to upsell in dances or VIPs when you're already in there. Typically, when I am fast selling on a busy shift, I go with something intriguing and flirty. I will often ask a customer if the like my outfit and when they say yes, I ask them if they want to see the "decorations" I've got hiding underneath it. (I have piercings in my clit and one in my right nipple, for reference). If they ask what, I tell them they've gotta get into a dance booth with me and see it for themselves. Another way you can fast sell, is by taking charge of the entire situation, for instance, let's say you've seen a customer eyeing you a few times or they came and tipped you at your stage. Walk up, take their hand/touch their shoulder, and say something like, "Okay that's it! I've gotta have you all to myself, I've seen you looking and I want you to really see all of me! Let's go!" Although these approaches may seem unnatural at first and you'll definitely come across your fair share of rejection, a lot of customers do respond well to a quick and flirty trip to the VIP. If you're new to fast selling, remember that just because you're feeling a little nervous or unsure does not mean you cannot do it. Keep pushing yourself and you'll find your pitch improves with every customer because you're learning little by little as you go!

Hustle Style: Typically, a "regulars" gal

Issue: None of your regulars are able to make it in, and the club is full of strangers

Challenge: Get to know at least 5 customers on this shift! How did you make your other regulars in the first place? Whatever you did to secure those current regulars, attempt with these unknown customers now. It can feel super defeating to work all week as a "regulars" girl and not see a single one of your reliable customers, I know! However, this just leaves you more opportunities to secure new regulars and keep them coming back for more, too. Whether your approach is fast or slow, flirty or more serious - feel out your customer's vibe and do your best to cater to their needs and wants. Sometimes when I'm in this situation, I like to tell them the why behind me working that particular shift. Maybe I need new tires for my car, or to pay for my cat's surgery next week. Customers typically enjoy being "helpers" or "providers" and when they're aware that you're spending your money in a useful way, they can be inclined to continue visiting you and helping you reach your goals. This has worked for me countless times, and it's honestly how I have attained my most loyal and generous regulars! Even if none of your connections end in a new regular dynamic, it's fairly likely that you'll at least secure a handful of dances or VIPs!

Obviously, there are hundreds of different ways to approach, build repertoire, and ultimately sell to customers, and I'd be here all month if I tried to cover every single possible scenario in the club that you could encounter. The point, my loves, is to encourage you to think outside the box and on your toes. What situations do you consistently find yourself struggling in? What is one small thing you can do every shift to remedy said issue? I encourage you to keep a notebook with you, just a little one, on shift in your bag. If there's something particular that you're having trouble with, jot it down and revisit it after the shift or during a break in the locker room if you'd like. When you've isolated some of the things you'd like to work on, build a game plan for the next time you encounter this situation. Try answering these questions in your notebook:

  1. What issue am I having/where am I struggling?
  2. What ways would I most like to see myself improving on this issue?
  3. Name 1-3 small things I know can do next shift to help this issue!
  4. Name 1 BIG thing I am going to try to do that I think will help with this issue!
  5. How do I get myself in the headspace to succeed in executing steps 3 & 4?
  6. Lastly, return to your notebook and log how the shift went when you actively tried to improve and solve the issue you were focusing on! Are there any things you did particularly well with? What about some areas that you feel still need some work? Do you have any new goals or ideas for next time? Log it all here and congratulate yourself for going in and kicking ass!

Good luck & please drop a comment if you've decided to utilize any of the ideas I've provided in this blog! I'd love to hear your stories!
